Derek Pike set up Systec Services Ltd in 1999, following several years working for companies in London and Bristol providing training and consultancy on Microsoft servers.

For many years Derek has trained IT professionals in Querying and Administering Microsoft SQL Server, with a focus on Business Intelligence and SQL Server Reporting Services.

More recently focus has moved towards the cloud, extending Business Intelligence into Data Engineering and Data Analysis, including Azure Data Engineering and Power BI>

Having been a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1996, he has mainly focused on delivering the Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) through Microsoft Learning Partners. Increasingly customers are asking for customised course, and Derek has provided these course through a number of training companies.

On occasions training providers have asked Derek to deliver courses that are advertised on their web site, but have no course ware or detailed course outline, and it has been up to the trainer to work out how it can be delivered.
