Derek Pike set up Systec Services Ltd in 1999, following several years working for companies in London and Bristol providing training and consultancy on Microsoft servers.

Over the past 10 years use of Microsoft SQL Server has increased dramatically, and Derek has become focused on providing training and consultancy on Microsoft SQL Server, in particular in the area of Business Intelligence – Data Warehousing, Analysis Services (SSAS) and Reporting Services (SSRS).

Having been a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 1996, he has mainly focused on delivering the Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) through Microsoft Learning Partners. Increasingly customers are asking for customised course, and Derek has provided these course through a number of training companies.

On occasions training providers have asked Derek to deliver courses that are advertised on their web site, but have no course ware or detailed course outline, and it has been up to the trainer to work out how it can be delivered.
